There’s only one option of Remedial Massage. We’ll discuss more when you arrive for your session.

Sure. Depending upon your needs and time we have available for your session, your treatment can be adjusted according to what feels most appropriate for you on the day.

I currently offer 60 minutes or 90 minutes through my online booking. New clients enjoy an additional 20 minutes in their first session.

Yes, all clients are asked to complete an intake and consent form before their first treatment.

This helps me to understand your health history, current concerns and anything I need to consider when planning your session.

Sessions can be booked online through the website. You’ll receive a confirmation through an automated text and email after you’ve made your booking.

2. Before Your Session

Wear underwear and something comfortable.

For Massage, you’ll undress to your underwear or to the extent needed for the areas being treated.
You’ll remain appropriately covered with towels through the massage.

For Craniosacral Therapy, you’ll remain fully clothed. So comfortable clothing is recommended.

No, CST is performed fully clothed.
If CST techniques are used during your massage, they’ll mainly be applied on your head or along your spine.

You don’t need to fast before your session. However, a very large meal immediately before treatment may feel uncomfortable, particularly when lying on the massage table.

If you’re a new client, arriving several minutes early can give you time to settle in and complete anything that needs to be done before your session time.

Please include relevant information on your intake form and let me know about any changes to your health, medications, injuries or recent medical treatment.

If you’re unsure whether massage or CST is appropriate for you, please speak with your doctor before booking.

Please contact Cheryl before booking if you’re pregnant. We’ll discuss your individual circumstances and whether the treatment that’s offered is appropriate for you.

Alternatively, send Cheryl a text message at 0452 464 399

4. During Your Session

We’ll meet and you’ll fill up an intake form. We’ll then begin with a brief conversation about what brings you in, your general health and anything you’d like me to be aware of.

We’ll then discuss the treatment and make sure you’re comfortable before we begin.

Pressure depends on the treatment and your preferences.

Relaxation massage generally uses lighter, flowing strokes, while remedial massage may involve more focused or firmer work where needed.

More pressure doesn’t necessarily mean a better massage. I’ll be checking in with you and adjusting the pressure according to what feels comfortable and appropriate.

Massage may sometimes feel intense when working with areas of muscle tension, but it shouldn’t feel unbearable.

You’re always welcome to communicate with me and ask for less pressure, a change of technique or for me to stop working on a particular area.

CST is very gentle and quiet. Some people experience deep relaxation, warmth, subtle sensations or simply enjoy the restful stillness. Others may not notice much physically during the session.

Everyone’s experience is different.

Read a little more about CST here.

Absolutely. Your comfort and consent come first.

Your session is time for You.
You’re welcome to communicate with me to change the pressure, technique, position or treatment area, etc, at any point in time.

This depends on your individual needs and consent.

For massage, areas treated may include the back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, feet or other appropriate areas.

For CST, you remain clothed and gentle touch at various areas of the body may be applied. E.g. on the head, shoulders, front and back of body and sacrum, and legs.

5. After Your Session

Please stay seated safely or lie back down onto the massage table. I’ll return right after I’ve washed my hands and I’ll be able to assist you.

Many people feel relaxed after a massage. You may also experience some temporary muscle soreness, particularly following more focused or remedial work.

Healthdirect notes that some soreness can occur following a massage, but significant or persistent pain should be discussed with your doctor.

Many people leave a session feeling more rested, while some notice a deeper sense of relaxation or calm.

Others may not notice much at all – and that’s perfectly okay. Everyone experiences a session differently, and even your own experience can vary from one day to another.

While I do my best to understand your concerns and tailor the session to your needs, I cannot guarantee a particular outcome or promise to eliminate pain or discomfort.

Some concerns may have been developing over a long period of time, and changes may take time too.

Muscle tension and discomfort can also be influenced by posture, movement patterns, daily activities, stress, sleep and other factors outside of treatment

Sometimes pain or discomfort may also have an underlying cause that what I offer cannot address and may require further assessment by an appropriate healthcare professional.

I would love to be able to magically whisk every ache and pain away, but bodies don’t always work that way. My aim is to work within my scope, listen to your body and provide the most appropriate treatment I can on the day. If something doesn’t seem to be responding as expected, I may recommend that you seek further assessment or medical advice.
